About Sanya Business Sanya Business is Tanzania's homegrown business workspace — built for Tanzanian SMEs by people who understand how Tanzanian SMEs actually run. Invoicing, payroll, inventory, expenses, CRM, and bulk SMS — all in one account, priced in TZS, paid by M-Pesa. We've quietly grown into thousands of paying workspaces across Tanzania. We're at the point where the product sells itself when the right person hears about it. We need that right person to be doing the telling. About the role You'll own new business growth for Sanya Business across Tanzania. A typical week: - Prospect Tanzanian SMEs cold + warm — shops, professional services, NGOs, agencies, distributors - Run product demos (in-person in Dar, via video for upcountry) — show the invoicing, payroll, inventory, SMS reminders workflow - Send proposals priced in TZS, follow up, close - Convert inbound signups from sanya.tz into paying customers — the leads are already there - Maintain renewing accounts and upsell to higher plans + SMS credit packs - Occasional cross-sell of Netpoa hosting (our sister brand) to customers moving online - Occasional referral to Kanisa MS for prospects who also lead a church This is a high-trust senior role. You set your own schedule, choose which accounts to chase first, own your quota, and report directly to the founders. We measure outcomes — new monthly recurring revenue closed, renewal rate, expansion revenue — not hours. You'll work with our product team on customer feedback (your input drives the roadmap) and the marketing team on inbound lead handling. Sales tools, CRM, and a real marketing engine are already in place — you focus on selling. If you've sold business software in Tanzania before and felt frustrated that the product wasn't quite right for the local market, this is the antidote. Sanya Business was built with M-Pesa, TIN, VAT, Kiswahili, and the Tanzanian Income Tax Act baked in from day one. You're not apologising for the product — you're showing it off.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years B2B SaaS / business software sales experience — TZ market preferred
  • Fluent in Kiswahili AND English — written + spoken
  • Existing network in the Dar es Salaam SME community
  • Comfortable with M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money as payment methods customers actually use
  • Self-starter — can prospect, qualify, demo, propose, and close without daily oversight
  • Comfortable demoing software live (laptop or projector) to non-technical buyers
  • Driver's licence + willingness to travel to Arusha, Mwanza, Mbeya, Zanzibar for major accounts
  • Tanzanian citizen or legal resident
  • Track record of hitting quarterly quota at a previous SaaS / software role
