In 2016 we started in Kijitonyama, Dar es Salaam with one belief: reliable, affordable digital services should be accessible to every Tanzanian business — not just the ones who can navigate USD pricing and overseas support tickets.
What began as Netpoa Limited — a hosting and domain registrar — grew steadily through the years. We picked up the first 100 clients through word-of-mouth and the kind of localised, Swahili-speaking support that most international hosts couldn't offer. By 2023 we'd become a TCRA-certified registrar, registering .tz and .co.tz domains directly. In 2025 we expanded across East Africa — serving thousands of clients in 8+ markets.
By 2026 the conversation with our hosting customers had changed. They weren't asking for more hosting — they were asking who could run their accounting, mauzo, matumizi, mishahara, ripoti za VAT in Swahili, priced in shillings, supported from the same office. So we built it. Sanya Business launched in 2026 as our flagship product: a single platform to run a Tanzanian biashara end-to-end.
Today the company runs two brands under one legal entity. Sanya Business is the business OS — bidhaa, mapato, mauzo, matumizi, wafanyakazi, ripoti. NETPOA is the infrastructure brand customers already know us for — hosting, VPS, domains, business email. Same office, same team, same shillings. Netpoa Limited remains the registered entity behind both.
