kanisa.or.tz (collectively "Kanisa MS" in this Schedule). On any Kanisa MS matter, this Schedule prevails over the Master (Master §17).
Contents
F.1 Service Scope
Kanisa MS helps a church manage its members (washirika), offerings and contributions (sadaka / michango), attendance (mahudhurio), groups and departments, events, and reporting, with optional SMS to members. The interface is in Kiswahili. Modules and limits are as stated for the plan you ordered. We host and maintain the platform; the church operates its own data within it.
F.2 Per-Church Isolation & Data Ownership
Each church runs in its own isolated tenant database (kanisa_<slug>) — one church's members, offerings, and records are not visible to any other church. Your church's data is yours. We act only as custodian and processor (see §F.7) and do not access the contents of your church workspace except for support you have requested, platform maintenance, or where compelled by law.
F.3 Plan Limits & Fair Use
Each plan states its limits — typically the number of members, admin/user accounts, storage, and SMS allowance. Each human administrator must have their own account. Sustained excess of a limit prompts an upgrade conversation, not a silent cut-off.
F.4 Billing & Renewal
Kanisa MS is billed in advance per Master §4, on the cycle you selected (typically monthly or annual; annual is discounted). It renews automatically unless cancelled, with a renewal reminder 14 days before the due date. SMS to members is funded separately as prepaid credits (see §F.8).
F.5 Refunds
Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable once a cycle starts. First-time annual subscriptions may be cancelled within 14 days of first activation for a full refund, per Refund Policy. SMS credits are non-refundable except for carrier-failure crediting (see Schedule E §E.4).
F.6 Suspension & Deletion Clock
If a renewal invoice remains unpaid past its due date, the church workspace is suspended after a short grace period (data preserved but inaccessible); paying the invoice reactivates it automatically. If the account remains unpaid or is closed, church data is retained for 90 days then permanently deleted (Master §5.4). Export your data before the deadline (see §F.9). Immediate suspension may apply for AUP violations, regulatory order, or a security threat.
F.7 Members, Offerings & Sensitive Data
Important: the fact that a person is a member of a church reveals their religious belief, which is special-category (sensitive) personal data under Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022. Accordingly:
- The church is the data controller for its members', givers', and attendees' personal data; Netpoa Limited is the data processor, processing that data only to provide Kanisa MS (see Data Protection and, where a signed agreement is needed, the DPA).
- The church must have a valid lawful basis for processing members' data (typically the member's consent or the church's legitimate religious-association activity) and must handle it with the heightened care the law requires for sensitive data.
- The church must give its members an appropriate privacy notice and honour members' rights of access, correction, and deletion (Kanisa MS provides tools to help).
- Offerings and contribution records are financial data about identifiable individuals; treat them as confidential and restrict access to authorised church officers only.
F.8 Member Messaging (SMS)
Where you message members by SMS, that messaging runs over the SanyaSMS gateway and is also governed by Schedule E (SanyaSMS) — including sender-ID rules, consent and opt-out, and prepaid credits (no expiry). You must have a lawful basis to message each member and must honour opt-out requests. Do not use member messaging for unrelated commercial or political content.
F.9 Data Portability & Export
Your church's data is portable. While the workspace is active you may export members, offerings, attendance, and reports in common formats (CSV / Excel, and PDF for reports) at any time, at no charge. On termination you retain export access through the 90-day retention window in §F.6.
F.10 Church Obligations
In addition to Master §3 and the Acceptable Use Policy, the church agrees to:
- Restrict access to member and offering data to authorised officers, each with their own account.
- Hold a lawful basis for the personal (and sensitive) data it processes, and provide members a privacy notice.
- Use member contact details only for legitimate church communication, honouring opt-outs.
- Keep its own copies of important records via the export tools in §F.9.
F.11 Service Fees
Plan pricing is published on the Kanisa MS site (kanisa.or.tz). SMS credits and assisted onboarding/data-migration are quoted at order time. All fees are in TZS, exclusive of VAT unless stated, payable per Master §4.
